RAY OF HOPE

This time from Srinagar and across Kashmir, I brought back so many wonderful things—especially dry fruits like walnuts and almonds. The Kashmiri embroidery suits I bought from the Najaakat shop were truly exquisite. I also picked up Kashmiri Kahwa for the winter, and its taste is absolutely amazing. For myself and my daughter, I bought four Kirti and kaftaans in soft cotton. In fruits, I got two cartons of fresh red cherries at a very reasonable price. One of my most special memories is the stole I bought from a little child in a small village near the lidder River. The walnut fudge was incredibly tempting too! But more than the things I purchased, it’s the unforgettable moments—the hills and valleys, the fruits, the cool breeze, and the warm, sweet people of Kashmir—that touched my heart. चलो कुछ लम्हे चुराते हैं, अपना दिल तुम्हें दिखाते हैं। अपने हाल पर मुस्कुराते हैं । कुछ पल सुकून के साथ बिताते हैं। और ताज़ा हो जाते हैं । चलो कुछ लम्हे चुराते हैं ।       -  ✍️पूनम ✍️✍️

शब्दों को कविता में ढालना शुरू कर  दिया है हमने क्योंकि एक अरसे से इंसानों  से उलझना छोड़ दिया है हमने ।।          -✍️ पूनम ✍️✍️

  तुम्हारा  काजल दर्शाता है, कि जीवन में तुमने कितनी ही  सीमाएं बना रखी है और उन्हें पार  करने के लिए तुम परवश हो जाती हो । तुम्हारे मस्तक की बिंदी तुम्हारी भावनाओ  और मस्तिष्क के संतुलन को  दिखाती है । तुम्हारा नज़रो से नज़र मिलाकर  बालों को सँवारना तुम्हारे आत्मविश्वास की  पहचान है।तुम बाहर से जितनी सख़्त हो उतनी  भीतर से नर्म भी  तुम्हारे संघर्ष की व्यथा कोई क्या जाने?? तुम एक सत्य हो ना कि कोई भ्रम । तुम्हारे अवसाद तुम्हारे प्रयासरत होने  को दर्शाते हैं गर्मी की धूप में तुम  रूहफ़ज़ा का शरबत हो !! कभी व्यर्थ ही सोचती हूँ कि ये सब जो  हो रहा है क्या काफ़ी है? मेरे प्रयास मेरे अंदाज़ ,मेरा  पागलपन, मेरा एकांत,मेरा स्वाध्याय, मेरे सपने ,मेरी व्यथा और मेरी प्यास, मेरा विश्वास? मेरी हर एक  सांस जिसका मूल्य लगाना असंभव है ।।            -✍️पूनम✍️✍️ Happy karwachauth ladies!!

झाँक  लिया करो कभी  झरोखों से बाहर तुम,चार  दीवारी के भीतर कितने  दिन दिल लगाओगे??       -✍️पूनम ✍️✍️

We tried the Famous Kashmiri dish Yakhni  in Pahalgam,(yellow   Dish as shown in pic) and at Chashmish Shahi we enjoyed Kashmiri kulfi, which was very tasty. Apart from that, we had kahwa at Dal Lake and ate cherries, as they are very famous in Kashmir. Some bakery items , sweets and famous walnut fudge, fruit chaat at Dal lake , we enjoyed a lot. we  had  delicious noon chai or Sheer chai full of Kashmiri flavours  at friend’s home. I tried ice cream  and samosa &bread pakora at Betaab valley Pahelgaam  .I also tried golgappe at pahalgaam streets.  The taste of Kashmir will always remain in my memories.   Therefore if you like my articles then share it with your friends and loved ones..
